We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our growing data team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using modern cloud technologies across Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale data platforms, enabling data-driven decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using PySpark within Databricks
• Develop real-time and batch data processing solutions using Apache Kafka
• Implement streaming data pipelines and integrate Kafka with cloud-based architectures
• Develop and manage data solutions using Azure Data Platform (Azure Data Factory, ADLS, etc.)
• Build and optimise data models within Snowflake
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to deliver high-quality datasets
• Support reporting and data visualisation using Power BI
• Ensure data reliability, quality, and performance across all pipelines
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise data workflows
• Contribute to data architecture, standards, and best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Databricks
• PySpark
• Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, streaming concepts)
• Microsoft Azure (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Synapse is a plus)
• Experience working with Snowflake data warehouse
• Strong SQL skills and data modelling experience
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
• Exposure to Power BI for reporting and data visualization
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git)

Desirable Skills

• Experience with real-time / streaming data pipelines
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Awareness of data governance and security best practices
