For our Commercial Team in Southern Germany (mid-market customers), we are looking for an experienced strategist, technology enthusiast, and storyteller to join us as a Senior Systems Engineer.

In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor to our mid-market customers and partners in Southern Germany. You will bridge the gap between complex technologies and real business challenges, playing a key role in driving our growth in the commercial segment.

You will report to Tobias Troppmann, Manager Systems Engineering.

Your Role

  • Strategic consulting by thoroughly understanding our customers' unique business challenges.
  • Working in close collaboration with our Account Executives, you will design tailored solutions based on the Nutanix Cloud Platform that deliver real business value. - We value creative problem-solving, meaning you will regularly apply out-of-the-box thinking to develop innovative approaches to complex IT challenges.
  • Technical storytelling, where you will effectively communicate our value proposition to both technical and executive audiences, including C-level stakeholders, through deep-dive presentations, live demos, or proof-of-concepts (PoCs).
  • Drive partner enablement by working closely with our partner ecosystem to enhance their technical capabilities and foster joint customer success.
  • As a thought leader, you will stay at the forefront of market trends—such as HCI, cloud-native technologies, AI infrastructure, and Kubernetes—and actively share this knowledge within the team.
  • You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, taking full ownership of your territory and proactively driving presales activities.

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in senior-level presales or a closely comparable role.
  • Your technical expertise includes solid knowledge across datacenter infrastructure, cloud solutions, Kubernetes, hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), AI, storage, and servers, combined with a strong willingness to quickly master new technologies.
  • You stand out through strong communication and presentation capabilities up to the C-level, and an open, engaging style.
  • You are a true team player who possesses a dynamic, flexible mindset alongside a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
  • Your commercial mindset gives you a deep understanding of the mid-market landscape, where speed, scalability, and pragmatism are key to success.
  • Your work style is highly self-driven, characterized by a strong sense of personal ownership and accountability.
  • You enjoy engaging directly with customers and partners, which includes a willingness to travel within Southern Germany.
  • Fluency in both German and English is required.

Work Arrangement

This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, we try to get together on a regular basis, or there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.

The work arrangement for this role will be discussed with the hiring manager.
