Senior SAP Product Data & End-to-End Process Architect – ASAP – Hamburg – 12+ months

Looking for a senior SAP consultant to take ownership of the product data landscape in S/4HANA within a large-scale transformation, with a strong focus on end-to-end business processes across supply chain, logistics and configurable product environments.

Your main task is to design, build and govern product data structures across SAP, integrating an external PIM system and ensuring downstream readiness for logistics and execution processes including EWM, within an MTO and variant-driven business context.

Tasks

• Ownership, setup and optimization of SAP S/4HANA product master data across all relevant views
• Design of scalable product hierarchies, product structures and data models
• Concept development for configurable products, variant structures and complex product portfolios
• Design of end-to-end product data and process flows (PIM → S/4 → EWM) across supply chain and logistics
• Definition of Make-to-Order (MTO) and configurable product scenarios within SAP S/4HANA
• Technical specification writing for integrations and mappings (PIM, BTP Integration Suite, AIF, SAP)
• Ensuring alignment between product data, supply chain processes and logistics execution (incl. EWM)
• Master data distribution and integration with SAP EWM and downstream systems
• Stakeholder management across business and IT
• Establishment of pragmatic, process-oriented master data governance approaches

Conditions

• Strong SAP S/4HANA product / article master data experience, ideally beyond purely operational or governance-focused roles
• Proven experience with product modelling, hierarchies, configurable products and complex product structures
• Experience in Make-to-Order (MTO), Configure-to-Order or similar variant-driven environments
• Experience integrating PIM systems with SAP
• Ability to write technical specs for interface and mapping layers — no development required
• Strong understanding of end-to-end processes across supply chain (O2C, P2P) and logistics (EWM)
• Understanding of how product data drives downstream processes (production, logistics, warehouse, sales)
• Hands-on, delivery-focused — able to translate concepts into implementable solutions (no purely conceptual profiles)
• Strong communicator with stakeholder management experience

Desirable

• SAP EWM, SAP BTP Integration Suite / AIF, Stibo STEP or similar PIM
• Experience in high-variant / configurable product environments
• Exposure to manufacturing, medical devices, automotive or similar industries with complex products
• Understanding of customs / cross-border logistics processes
• Product traceability, PLM understanding
