Senior SAP Master Data Consultant – ASAP – Hamburg – 12+ months

For our end customer in the Hamburg area we are looking for a senior SAP Product Master Data Consultant to take ownership of the article master data landscape in S/4HANA within a large-scale retail transformation.

Your main task is to design, build and govern product master data structures across SAP, integrating an external PIM system and ensuring downstream readiness for logistics processes including EWM.

Tasks

• Ownership, setup and optimization of SAP S/4HANA article / product master data across all relevant views
• Design of scalable product hierarchies and product data models
• Concept development for configurable products, variant structures and complex product portfolios
• Design of article lifecycle, status concepts and approval workflows across PIM and SAP
• Definition of end-to-end master data processes (PIM → S/4 → EWM)
• Technical specification writing for integrations and mappings (PIM, BTP Integration Suite, AIF, SAP)
• Support with assortments and listings
• Master data distribution and integration with SAP EWM
• Stakeholder management across business and IT
• Establishment of pragmatic master data governance processes

Conditions

Strong SAP S/4HANA article/product master data experience in a retail context

Proven experience with product modelling, hierarchies and complex structures

Experience with configurable products / variant configuration

Experience integrating PIM systems with SAP (ideally Stibo STEP)

Ability to write technical specs for interface and mapping layers — no development required

Strong understanding of end-to-end master data processes and data flows

Understanding of logistics processes (procurement, warehouse, sales) in relation to article master data

Hands-on, delivery-focused — no purely conceptual profiles

Strong communicator with stakeholder management experience

Desirable

SAP EWM, SAP BTP Integration Suite / AIF, Stibo STEP or similar PIM, high-volume variants, product traceability, PLM understanding

Fluent English (must-have) — German bonus
