Senior Kotlin Developer / Software Architect (m/f/d) – AWS

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance scalable backend services using Kotlin
• Take ownership of technical concepts and architectural decisions
• Build and operate cloud-native solutions on AWS
• Design robust APIs and distributed microservice architectures
• Ensure high code quality through automated testing, code reviews and clean-code principles
• Contribute throughout the entire software development lifecycle—from requirements and implementation to deployment and production operations
• Collaborate with international engineering teams, Product Owners and other stakeholders
• Optionally contribute to frontend development

Required Skills

• At least 10 years of proven, hands-on professional experience developing with Kotlin—mandatory
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS—mandatory
• Excellent understanding of modern software, cloud and microservice architectures
• Experience designing and operating highly scalable distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and OpenAPI
• Experience with Spring Boot and/or Ktor
• Experience with Gradle, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
• Solid knowledge of automated testing and modern software engineering practices
• Strong ownership mentality and experience operating services in production
• Excellent written and spoken English—mandatory
• Strong communication skills and experience working in international agile teams

Nice to Have

• Frontend development experience, ideally with TypeScript and React
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Knowledge of observability, monitoring and distributed tracing
