Senior AI Engineer -- Agentic AI & Education space.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

A fast-growing Education operator in Germany. The company has been running for 5 years, but has yet to set up a digital infrastructure. The tech foundation is being built from scratch, so there is no legacy monolith and no IT politics to navigate.

THE ROLE

You'll be the hands-on AI builder in a greenfield environment, turning agentic AI from idea into tools the business uses day-to-day. You'll work directly with senior leadership!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, build and ship agentic AI systems and automations that replace manual work

• Prototype quickly, then take the ideas that work into production-ready solutions

• Build AI-assisted tooling for managers and educators, including AI-supported workflows such as candidate pre-screening

• Support the wider architecture vision: data hub, systems integration and the AI layer on top

• Test new models, methods and tools pragmatically, and put the useful ones to work

• Make fast, sound technical decisions with direct access to decision-makers

WHAT YOU BRING

• Senior-level software or ML engineering experience, with LLM-based products shipped to real users

• Strong Python and hands-on experience with agentic systems, RAG, tool use and evaluation

• A track record of clean, maintainable engineering, not just prototypes

• Comfort with ambiguity and a builder's mindset: you own outcomes from idea to live

• Experience with coding agents and AI-assisted development

• Fluent German (working language is German, with English in the tech environment)

• Nice to have: interest in EdTech, or experience integrating with ERP, HR or finance systems
