SAP IT iXp Intern (f/m/d) - Technical AI Communication
Position title: SAP IT iXp Intern (f/m/d) – Technical AI Communication
Location: Walldorf, Germany
Internship duration: 6 months
Project scope & deliverables
Work on AI‑focused communication topics (e.g. AI strategy, use cases, innovation) while designing and implementing AI automations for Communications, such as content generation, summarisation, chatbots, or workflow automation. Deliverables include working prototypes, reusable tools, and communication assets that are actively used.
Business impact
The work directly improves how AI initiatives are communicated, understood, and adopted, while scaling communication efficiency through AI, reducing manual effort and enabling data‑driven, high‑impact messaging.
Team & collaboration
Work closely with Communication leads, AI experts, and technical teams in an international environment, with regular mentoring, feedback, and clear ownership of end‑to‑end projects.
Learning & development
Gain hands‑on experience in AI development (GenAI, APIs, automation, scripting), technical storytelling, and applying AI pragmatically within a real business context.
Technical exposure
Implement and experiment with modern AI tools and platforms, learn how AI solutions are integrated responsibly, and strengthen the bridge between technical depth and clear communication.
Additional context

Educational requirements
Enrolled Master’s student or Bachelor’s student in an advanced semester (e.g. computer science, AI, data science, engineering, information systems, digital media, or a comparable field with strong technical focus)
Experience level and background
First hands-on experience with AI, automation, software development, or data-driven projects (from studies, student jobs, or projects). Strong interest in AI applications combined with communication and business contexts
What technical skills are essential vs. nice-to-have
Essential: Solid technical foundation, basic programming or scripting skills (e.g. Python, JavaScript), understanding of AI/GenAI concepts, APIs, or automation workflows
Strong interest in communication and story telling Nice-to-have: Experience with GenAI tools, LLMs, prompt engineering, low-code platforms, cloud services, or data analysis
Soft skills will thrive in this team/role
Strong communication skills, ability to explain technical topics clearly, curiosity, structured thinking, self‑initiative, willingness to experiment, and comfort working across technical and non‑technical teams
Language requirements
Fluent in English and German (preferable)
