SAP FICO Functional Consultant | ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Proven experience as an SAP FICO Functional Consultant supporting complex SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA environments
• Strong expertise across SAP Finance processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Controlling, Financial Closing, and Audit Compliance
• Demonstrable experience supporting SAP system audits, finance controls, compliance activities, and audit reporting requirements
• Experience defining audit scope, identifying relevant SAP systems, and documenting finance-focused audit approaches within transformation programmes
• Strong understanding of SAP migration, upgrade, and conversion projects, including associated finance validation and reconciliation activities
• Ability to define, execute, and validate SAP FI reports before and after migration and upgrade activities across QAS and PRD environments
• Experience working closely with Finance leadership, SAP Basis teams, project management, external auditors, and business stakeholders
• Fluent German and English language skills with the ability to communicate effectively across both business and technical audiences

SAP FICO Functional Consultant | OVERVIEW

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP FICO Functional Consultant to support a critical SAP migration and upgrade programme with a specific focus on finance audit readiness, compliance, and system validation activities.

Working closely with the SAP Basis team, Finance leadership, project management, and external audit stakeholders, you will be responsible for defining and delivering the finance workstream associated with the system audit process. This will include creating a high-level audit concept, defining audit scope, identifying required SAP FI and technical reports, and supporting testing and validation activities across both quality assurance and production environments.

A key aspect of the assignment will be ensuring that audit requirements are fully aligned with migration and upgrade activities, providing confidence that financial controls, reporting integrity, and compliance obligations are maintained throughout the programme lifecycle.

The successful consultant will bring strong SAP FICO expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a practical understanding of how finance and technical teams collaborate within large-scale SAP transformation initiatives. Experience working alongside SAP Basis specialists and external auditors will be highly advantageous.
