GenAI Developer Python/ ML Remote in Germany

Tasks

• Design and implement GenAI features — including RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and LLM integrations — in production
• Evaluate, fine-tune, and deploy large language models for domain-specific use cases
• Architect robust, scalable AI systems that meet enterprise reliability and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with fullstack engineers to embed AI capabilities seamlessly into the product
• Stay current with the rapidly evolving GenAI ecosystem and translate new research into practical solutions
• Contribute to building a strong AI engineering culture within the team

Requirements

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on applied AI/ML
• Deep expertise in Python and the modern ML ecosystem (PyTorch, HuggingFace Transformers, etc.)
• Hands-on production experience with LLMs, RAG architectures, and vector databases
• Strong understanding of MLOps practices: model versioning, deployment, monitoring
• Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration tools
• Solid software engineering fundamentals: clean code, testing, API design

Work Style & Communication

• Excellent communication skills in English
• German language on B1 / B2 level and willingness to learn German and to reach a working proficiency level (C1) within 6 months

Highly Desirable:

• Experience with multilingual NLP tasks, particularly German-language text
• Exposure to enterprise AI deployments or regulated industries
• Background in information retrieval, knowledge graphs, or semantic search
• Academic background in machine learning, NLP, or computer science
