Data Analyst
About the team
The Consumer Bank tribe is building the financial products that small businesses and their customers rely on — from credit and BNPL to everyday banking services. As the tribe scales, so does the need for sharp, reliable insight. That's where you come in.
We're looking for a Data Analyst to become the dedicated analytical partner for the Consumer Bank tribe — working alongside a Senior Analytics Engineer to build the data foundation that helps Product, Finance, and Risk teams make better decisions, faster. This is a new role, which means you'll have real ownership from day one: shaping how we measure performance, understand our customers, and act on what the data tells us.
If you're motivated by meaningful analytical work, enjoy translating complexity into clarity, and want to see your insights directly influence product and business decisions — this role is for you.
What you'll do
- Own insight generation and reporting for the Consumer Bank tribe — translating business questions from Product, Finance, and Risk into clear analyses and dashboards using Snowflake and Tableau
- Define, monitor, and communicate core Consumer Bank KPIs, covering credit performance, customer behaviour, activation, and retention
- Act as the primary data partner for cross-functional teams — proactively surfacing trends, anomalies, and opportunities before they're asked for
- Support A/B test design, analysis, and communication of results to help the tribe experiment with confidence
- Collaborate with the Analytics Engineer to ensure data models meet analytical needs and help stakeholders access and trust data independently
You'll be great for this role if…
- Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience querying, analysing, and validating data in a cloud data warehouse environment (Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar)
- Experience building and maintaining dashboards in BI tools such as Tableau or Looker, with a track record of delivering outputs that stakeholders actually use
- Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical frameworks, and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfortable managing multiple workstreams across different stakeholder groups, with strong prioritisation and a proactive communication style
- Curious, self-driven, and quality-focused — someone who asks the right questions, not just the ones they're given
