Pattern Designer BOSS MW Tailoring (m/f/d)

What you can expect:

  • With passion and a forward-thinking mindset, you drive the development of new products and innovative construction methods with a focus on Smart Casual Tailoring and translate these into best-in-class pattern solutions – including the set-up and continuous refinement of the Smart Casual and Tailoring range in terms of fit, comfort, materials, make and modern, lifestyle-driven looks (in particular through the use of finishing technologies such as washing and over-dyeing).
  • You independently develop styles in 2D & 3D and take full ownership of your products from the initial concept through to production release – always in line with our quality standards, construction requirements and cost targets.
  • You prepare and conduct fittings based on 3D simulations and physical prototypes – analyzing the results, defining the necessary pattern and construction adjustments and documenting them through to final fit approval.
  • You confidently evaluate grading and size runs with regard to our target consumer, fit expectations and market requirements and ensure a brand-consistent, coherent size architecture.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the technical documentation – creating and maintaining all relevant manufacturing information in the PLM system and Adobe Illustrator (e.g. technical sketches, measurement charts and make/processing guidelines).
  • In your role as a key interface, you closely collaborate with our Creative Team and Brand Management, Technical Product Development, Operations and external vendors, ensuring a seamless end-to-end process for prototypes, SMS and capsule collections through to production release via transparent and efficient communication.

Your profile:

  • First and foremost, it’s your personality that counts: you are committed, work in a structured and reliable way, and appreciate the balance between ownership and collaboration. Your independent and organized way of working, your open and confident demeanor, your assertiveness as well as your strong sense of responsibility and high quality standards particularly set you apart.
  • You bring deep expertise in pattern, manufacturing and construction techniques within Menswear Tailoring product development, ideally backed by at least 5 years of professional experience as a Pattern Designer in Menswear Tailoring product development.
  • You have solid experience in transforming 2D into 3D product development – from creating 3D fit simulations and running virtual fittings through to working with 3D collaboration platforms, confidently reading and interpreting design models and sketches and translating them into innovative, technically feasible products.
  • You are a true team player with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to precisely reproduce garments and adapt patterns to modern manufacturing techniques – always maintaining the integrity of the original design and with a strong understanding of technical and commercial requirements.
  • Your strong IT skills – especially in MS Office, SAP, PLM (Centric) and Adobe Illustrator – combined with a high digital affinity enable you to use modern tools effectively, create professional technical documentation and actively shape efficient development and process flows.
  • With your strong communication skills and very good English language skills, both written and spoken, you operate confidently in an international environment and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners; solid knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes completes your profile.
