As a Design Project Manager within our Design Studio, you will provide a significant contribution to the passenger experience and Airbus’s brand identity.

Our Design Studio is a diverse, international team of more than 20 creative Industrial Designers located between Toulouse and Hamburg. We are the heart of Airbus’s visual and sensory identity, ensuring that every touch-point reflects our excellence.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Project Lifecycle Management: Planning and managing design projects from initial brief and conception to CMF innovation and final industrialization
  • Customer Centricity: Managing customized design projects for worldwide airline customers, acting as a bridge between their needs and Airbus’s industrial processes
  • Strategic Contribution: Implementing the Design Studio Strategy to bring value to Airbus and contributing to the evolving design culture in our studios
  • Trend & Material Leadership: Identifying emerging trends in airline branding and building extensive material knowledge to guide customers toward sustainable and qualified solutions
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with various Airbus departments to ensure project milestones are met and design intent is maintained through all phases
  • Visual Communication: Creating high-quality presentation materials and 3D visualizations that clearly communicate design concepts

Desired Skills And Qualifications

  • Degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Textile Design, or a related field
  • Professional Experience in industrial, product, automotive, or interior design, with a focus on CMF, lighting, or aircraft interiors
  • Technical Proficiency: Fluent in Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop) and MS Office
  • Proficiency in InDesign and CAD/Rendering software (KeyShot, Solidworks, Blender, or Rhino) is a major plus
  • Mindset: A positive, innovative thinker who can work independently as well as thrive in a dynamic, multi-cultural team environment
  • Communication: Exceptional visual and verbal communication skills; ability to work seamlessly across different functions
  • Languages: English on negotiation level; additional languages (e.g., German or French) are considered a plus
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel to international shows and suppliers

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
