Design 2D characters — from initial concept (2–3 sketches) to final artwork: detectives, NPCs, villains, witnesses, fantasy creatures, and anthropomorphic characters
Create game locations and backgrounds set in a fantasy Victorian world: city streets, mansions, docks, police precincts
Collaborate on developing and approving new characters, shaping their personality, humor, and visual identity
Prepare assets for integration: slicing, exporting, and meeting technical specs
Work closely with the Art Lead and game designers throughout the production pipeline
What you need to succeed:
A portfolio showcasing characters in a flat/cartoon style with clean line art and solid fills
Strong grasp of stylized character design: clear silhouettes, bold primary and secondary shapes
Experience working with historical or fantasy settings
Proficiency in Photoshop
Ability to work from references and stay true to the project's visual style
Solid file discipline and pipeline compliance
Nice to have:
Experience designing anthropomorphic characters and fantasy creatures
A sense of humor in design — familiarity with western animation / Cartoon Network aesthetics
Strong color intuition and an eye for atmosphere in environment art
Ability to convey character and readability through silhouette and pose
Hands-on experience with mobile games as a player
Skills in preparing characters for animation (Spine)
